To be precise, not only is Deep Learning far from Alchemy; it is impossible to think of Deep Learning as alchemy!

Alchemy/religion is separate from modern science/Deep Learning because religion/archaic science/alchemy became modern science in the scientific revolution.

• This means there is no reason why anybody should try to equate modern science/Deep Learningwith alchemy/religion!
• Crucially, whoever made the remark about Deep Learning being like alchemy, needs to go back to elementary school (for 8 year old children) asap.
